Regeneration...More Like Nostalgia

So I went through and deleted a bunch of my old entries, a lot of them were just...silly. For lack of a better word. Anyway it was the only way I could start blogging again. Oh you know you just heaved a huuugggeee sigh of relief. After months of checking to see if I'd be back...yes that's right I have statcounter, I know who you are...

The verdict is in. I'm staying in Philadelphia, gulp. Either I've just made a very informative decision or I'm going to realllllllyyyyy understand the word regret soon. Then there's some that say I'm just a big wimp, for not setting foot outside of my safety net. Well, let me tell you something about that: I've just selected unemployment over a guaranteed job with great benefits and a reputable company. Now if it were really about my safety net...I will spare you the details, but it was a tough process, one that I've never actually gone through. So this is what it's like to be in CONTROL of your life...well I've just experienced it and I DONT LIKE IT I SAY! Thank god I was spared this bullcrap during the whole college selection period. Penn State or Penn...can't say I sweatted much over that one.

Ok The Colbert Show is on and it's distracting me because frankly I love Colbert. With that completely irrelevant tidbit, I bid you adieu!

See, it looks a lot like staring at the sun and it sounds so much like broken glass. Perhaps you're reeling from an awkward pass and it feels just like you want to die and there's no one left to watch you cry. I've got to convince myself and just about everybody else that there's no love.

My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. Why have I sold out? You think I'm supposed to grow old, beating some trite old protest drum that people don't hear anymore? Please; protest is now just a backdrop for a Diesel clothing ad in a slick fashion magazine. My goal is to create a metaphor that changes our reality by charming people into considering their world in a different way. It's time -- for me, at least -- to be clever and seduce people by entertaining them. I'll never be heard if I'm always ranting and griping.

Let me tell you something you already know. The world aint all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it aint how hard you hit: its about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving foward. How much you can take, and keep moving foward. Thats how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you aint where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that aint you. you're better than that!
